Ruth Asawa

One artist who did amazing wire art is Ruth Asawa. With her simple wire looping technique she created an amazing body of signature forms. I had a go at the technique or how I think it works. Asawa doesn't really reveal many details of her process. All she apparently did was forming an 'e' to looping the wire into mesh. It looks like a very versatile technique where wire gauges and sizes of loops can vary a lot. The sky is the limit here.
